Who are we?
We’re a close-knit community of Freemasons, meeting in the heart of London at the iconic Freemasons’ Hall on Great Queen Street, near Covent Garden.
Aarheus Lodge is a friendly Saturday afternoon lodge meeting in central London, shaped around the realities of modern life.
Our lodge, founded and consecrated in July 1949*, prides itself on upholding the core Masonic principles of brotherly love, relief, and truth.
Aarheus Lodge is also twinned with Adonai Lodge under the Grand Lodge of Romania (MLNR), reflecting the international friendships and connections that have long been part of the lodge’s character.
- Historically, a chapter bearing the Aarheus name was consecrated shortly after the lodge, in December 1955.
Charitable Work
Integral to our lodge’s mission is philanthropy. We uphold a strong tradition of supporting multiple charities, illustrating Freemasonry’s commitment to benevolence and societal improvement.
Meetings and Masonic Life
We meet regularly throughout the year for formal lodge meetings and Lodge of Instruction evenings. Many of our members are also active in the Royal Arch and other Masonic bodies beyond Craft Freemasonry.
You can find more details on our meeting schedule and on Royal Arch and other orders.
